Lightning Arctic Wins the Microscopy Today 2024 Innovation Award
DENSsolutions is proud to announce that the Lightning Arctic system has been awarded the prestigious Microscopy Today 2024 Innovation Award.
The Lightning Arctic is the world's first in situ TEM solution that combines cryogenic cooling with electrical biasing capabilities. This unique system allows researchers to study the electrical behavior of materials at temperatures down to -150 °C, opening new frontiers in semiconductor research, battery technology, and quantum materials science.
A Three-Time Innovation Award Winner
This marks the third time DENSsolutions has received the Microscopy Today Innovation Award, following previous wins for the Stream system (2020) and the Climate system (2021). Being recognized three times by this prestigious publication is a testament to our team's relentless pursuit of innovation in in situ electron microscopy.
About the Microscopy Today Innovation Awards
The Microscopy Today Innovation Awards are presented annually to recognize the ten most innovative products and methods in the field of microscopy. Selected by an independent panel of judges, the awards highlight developments that have the potential to make a significant impact on the field. The Lightning Arctic was recognized for its novel approach to combining cryo-TEM with electrical biasing, a capability that was previously unavailable to researchers.
We thank the Microscopy Today jury and the global microscopy community for this recognition, and we remain committed to developing solutions that enable breakthrough discoveries at the nanoscale.
